If you enjoy a little casino fun, then you owe it to yourself to pay at least one visit to Las Vegas. There you can wander down The Strip and visit some of the most amazing casinos in the world; casinos that are truly legendary and like none that you will find anywhere else.

Most casinos are casino hotels, so you can stay right there close to the action. The hotels accommodation is famed for its luxuriousness and variety. You can enjoy some of the best penthouse suite hotel accommodation in the world, and even the more modest hotel rooms tend to be quite resplendent, and although you might anticipate that they are very expensive, they tend to be relatively modestly priced too; the majority of the profit is made on the casino floors rather than from the accommodation which often is offered at discount prices.

If you want to save even more money then you might choose to stay at one of the motels close to the strip. There is one just south of She Strip that featured in the Martin Scorsese movie Casino starring Robert De Niro, Joe Pesci and Sharon Stone. Outside there is a glass fronted swimming pool in which Stone was filmed swimming and with rates as low as $20 you will have more money to spend at the casinos.

Everybody has a favourite casino, but the Bellagio is a must. The casino fronts onto an expansive lake on which a stunning Son et lumière featuring dancing fountains is played several times an hour and inside the casino is a vast Aladdin’s cave of treasures with top class designer shops, theatres, restaurants, bars and gaming floors.

Naturally you will wish to visit other casinos too: Treasure Island, Paris, MGM, Casino Royale, Caesars Palace, the list goes on. Certainly you will need some comfortable walking shoes as well as heels, though there is a monorail that runs the length of the strip that can relieve some of the burden.

Las Vegas is all that is said about it and a lot more too: so put it on your “bucket list”.
